Ive noticed that alot of the storys and stuff that say "And this is a true story" end up being called out as being "urban legends". But how do we really know that these are really urban legends? Just something I was sitting here pondering. Like the Budweiser story I posted and the one about the haunted house and the story Kat posted about the Black Robbers, etc.
How do we know to believe the urban legends?

If you read the Urban legend pages, it will usually give you the history behind the story. It doesn't just say, "That's not a true story" it actually gives you the history behind it and there are quite a few stories out there that they classify as Unknown when they aren't sure of the origin or if it's true.

:homo:The Budweiser one had quotes from the company saying it was false :)
