For me family photos are private, I never post them anywhere. Because I'm worried that it will be edited and abused by irresponsible people. Often we find in our country there are naughty people who edit photos of people's faces with other people's bodies or make them naked and sell them for pornographic purposes. I really hate when that happens to us.

Family picture taken this last Christmas. I'm the tall one in the back next to my sister and her husband. My parents are on the couch with my nephews.

Does this happen a lot there too? That's why I'm very careful, and include photos as one of privacy. And I will feel angry if someone takes pictures of me secretly.

…quite a few years ago in a forum site, my photo was taken from my profile and used to open a Twitter profile/account…the purpose of that was then to insult/abuse/bad mouth etc other forum members…anyway, when it was discovered and revealed what had happened, the site administrator contacted Twitter/as did I also, so it was all taken down quite quickly from them, I just had to verify who I was…it wasn’t so much about any upset it might have caused on the forum by any insults etc because most suspected straight away that it wasn’t real and didn’t believe that I was involved…the comments were so quite cruel, though…that it could have put my job at risk, had anyone connected to my work seen it and obviously it was my image and name…so yeah, I practise more caution now…

I can understand that reticence. I guess anywhere (including the U.K.) but quite a lot in the U.S. of A. there is ID theft too. No joke.
