Oil+juices/fats cooking off of meat. I was searing short ribs in a large pan and dropped one. The hot oil splashed my arm.

"Grease" is just a generic term... ie "Grease Fire"

Ohhhh. I was thinking lard, biscuits, gravy, bacon and it was NOT computing. But then again, when did I ever make logical connections with anything without you calling me a "doofus." :D
