Good for you!! Jolly Ranchers candy helped me, but you have to understand I use Copenhagen snuff. I smoked for 14 yrs and quit and I still use Copenhagen snuff. I am ready to quit

I used the patches at first, the last time I tried to give up, but they made me feel sick, probably because I don't smoke that much anyway. The inhalers are good because not only do they give you the nicotine fix but they also help phycologically because they give you something to put in your mouth. I'm smoking less than I was a year or so ago, I don't know why, I used to go through 2oz a week but I'm now going through less than that a fortnight.

Hi Audra

Well done girlie. Such a hard thing to do. I had to use patches, no sickness for me when I was on them. You dream strange dreams if you forget to take them off at night, but nothing bad. You have to give them time to stop itching, but after about 3 days I was fine with them.

Didn't do the gum, nurse told me they were addictive as one of the doctors she knew, told her when he packed up smoking. Plus it's not a gd taste apparently.

I haven't craved a cigarette since I was on the patches in my about my 3rd month. Patches lasted about 4 months, but when it came to the last pkt of them, I forgot to use them - hence I was over it.

I have heard so many ppl dream of having a cigarette when they pack up. The dream wld wake them in the middle of the night. I have never had one single dream that I was still smoking since the day I packed up. My son has funnily enough.

I never crave one at all.

I did however, put on quite a bit of weight, but am doing my best to get that down a bit now.

Good luck, but don't be a martyr. If you struggle on yr own, go see yr GP and get some help like I did. :);)

Hey Audra,
StopSmokingCenter.net
Try this online quit smoking support group and program. It was really a big help to me when I quit smoking.

I've been quit for 1 year 3 months now and I am a very happy non-smoker. ;)

I'm saying a little prayer for you right now in hopes that your addiction will be totally eradicated from your life. You can do it girl!

Fondly,
Grace
