Um call me confused...

you are now paying market rate, you were paying too much

every six months or so you should call and ask them to look at what you pay , you can lie and say a competitor has offered you a deal, they will ask no or little questions they will lower your price

I plan to call them this weekend there is a preview with Movie time... I am going to complain.. and yes Telus keeps offering us a better deal...

here is a true life story

i called Rogers to tell them that bell were offering me a free 12 month pvr rental in order to entice me to switch, this is a lie, they did no such thing, Rogers without question gave me a 24 month free PVR rental saving me over $ 500

On the phoning to persuade them to give you a better deal thing, it's 100% true. My Mother is living proof of it.

Last year she phones her Satellite provider Sky up to tell them that BT had offered her a good deal on it, these being competitors Sky were inclined to keep her as a customer, so they offer her a new Sky HD box, 3 months half price and they would waive the fee for the installation.

Couple of days later she phones up BT telling them Sky had offered her a great deal with her phone and broadband. BT, realizing the same as Sky, offered her no line rental for three months, and half price.

Needless to say she took both, all without telling the truth.
