Volkswagen Beetle is one of the safest cars out there. I myself drive a Toyota Corolla which is very small...but I wouldn't take my chances w/ those little tin can smart cars.

Some cars they've come out with over the years are foolish looking. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is that some of these cars that look way too odd are also way too small. I'd never feel safe driving, for example, a Geo Metro. If I ever got into an accident with another vehicle while driving a Metro, the chances of survival are much lower than with an average-sized car.
