Tumblr Meetups

I went on one yesterday and was woundering if anyone has been on one too, or if your on Tumblr?
Pretty awesome day in all not awkward at all except the fact we are all at the "student" age and there were Student protests going on XD
Made a bunch of new friends and had a laugh, loved it.

I've not been on one of those but I have met people from the Internet. We went bowling then to the pub. 7 of us they were. Fun times.

Tumblr is a little known blog site and one of the things on it are Meetups.
You can find one near you RSPP to it and turn up at the meet point, I knew none of the people there but instantly gelled with a few of the people (There were about 50 there) Relaxed into it really easily with no awkwardness, hell me and 4 others have decided to try and meet up more offten

Never tried it. It sounds cool but I'd want to know at least one person going in case it was super-awkward.

I have friends that use twitter and attend local "tweet-ups". I steer clear. I just imagine the conversations being limited to 140 characters.

Never heard of tumblr ones before.

To help with the awkward thing take a friend, I'm used to meeting a load of people I don't know, I do it on an un-regular basis and I then have to order them about, now thats awkward

Nah it's nice to find someone from Tumblr, I hate how people are complaining that Tumblr is getting about now and more people are learning about it, not seen too much change really.
