Tuck your shirt in

My ponit was that everyone is so fearful of their own lives, it collectively swells up into this mindless paranoia.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I like to wear regular clothes and I'm not gonna let a bunch of school shooting scare me out of that.

If people had this value of life and not fear as you say, then they wouldn't want to sacrifice their own rights and the rights of others to "eliminate" the small risk that they have of getting killed. Trying looking at it from that perspective, K?

funny, my high school had/has no strict dress code, no metal detectors, no campus security, and I come from a small town where hunting is very prevalent. Prevalent enough that students had hunting rifles in their cars in the parking lot. nothing ever happened. No bomb threats, no gun threats, nothing... People who are gonna shoot up a school are gonna do it no matter what safeguards you have in place. If you're crazy enough to think you can shoot up a school, chances are tucking in a shirt isn't gonna do shit to stop you.

'punishing' the many for the crimes of the few.

11-year-old US boy charged with burglary, shooting school official at nearby farm

(AP) - MOKANE, Missouri-An 11-year-old boy walked out of his fifth-grade class and went on a crime spree, stealing weapons from a farm and shooting at three people who tried to confront him, wounding a school official, authorities said.
School staff alerted authorities when the boy never returned to class for a bathroom break and could not be found on campus Wednesday afternoon, South Callaway Superintendent Dustin Storm said Thursday.

Callaway County Sheriff Dennis Crane told the Columbia Daily Tribune the boy had walked a mile to a hog farm, where he stole several weapons from a building.
When he was confronted by the landowner and a neighbor, the boy shot at the two men but missed, the sheriff said.
He then shot Donnie Debrodie, the school district's transportation director, who was out looking for him, the school superintendent said. Debrodie, who was shot in the wrist, was treated and "doing very well" Thursday, Storm said.
The schools in the Mokane district, which has 950 students from kindergarten through 12th grade, were locked down immediately after Debrodie notified the central Missouri district that he had been shot, Storm said.
The boy was arrested after he crashed a stolen a pickup truck into a ditch on a county road just west of Mokane, the sheriff said. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, two counts of felony stealing and armed criminal action.
It was not clear what motive the boy, who was not identified, might have had. He was being held at the juvenile justice center in Columbia.
Crane was not available for questions Thursday, according to his office.
Storm said the boy had not had any major discipline issues at school. Crane said the sheriff's department had dealt with him on a few runaway complaints.
Mokane is about 90 miles (145 kilometers) west of St. Louis.

It should be a rule just because it's stupid to wear your pants like that. I've seen stupid people who wear shorts UNDER their pants JUST to wear their pants like that. Get a friggin belt or smaller pants retards!

Kids should learn to accept dress codes - as most professions have them or require a uniform to be worn.

Not really a good example. That's a job. A person isn't going to be like, "Wow...I hate that co-worker" and put a shotgun in his pocket. School has so much drama and stress, which means more school shootings. Why punish ALL the students because one overly stressed dumbass pops a few caps? Just slap him with some cuffs and let Bubba have his way with the kid.

There have been plenty of cases where co-workers have been killed by another co-worker.

We are not on the same page. Nevermind.
