I really like TrueBlood! I may have to read the books...

We really like Dexter too. We were also fans of Deadwood & Rome. Good tv.

The last 3 are the finest examples of tv entertainment ever created imo.

I broke down and got HBO so I'm back up to speed with True Blood. It's a slow starter, but the show has gotten better. My wife who just sat down and read all 7 books in a two week period says that they are taking stuff out of book 4 (I believe the 4th book is called Living Dead in Dallas) for the second season which is where they go to Dallas to look for a missing vampire sheriff and the Church of the Sun. Lots of nudity, so I'm happy. (Not to imply that is all it takes to make my happy, just a bonus.) And I get to watch Bill Maher too! :)

I really miss Deadwood & Rome. They could have kept going w/both. Carnival was pretty good except they didn't seem to know where they were really going with it.

Kings is pretty good. Ian McShane. It's on straight tv - NBC I think?

Now we're just waiting patiently for Dexter. Dexter is well-written & well-acted. A man w/a mission.

I read somewhere that True Bloods' Anna & Stephen are dating in real life. I didn't realize he was British until I saw him on The View speaking in his real voice. They make a cute couple.

I was really pissed when HBO canceled those shows. They said it was because of high production costs but I was expecting 7-8 years like they gave Sopranos. No such luck.

We are currently watching the Dexter reruns on Sun nights, currently they are halfway into season two. Just as incredible, the second time viewing. It's a case of the synergism of story execution, music, mood, and actors meld together into an incredible viewing experience. Have I gone overboard? :) Well that was at least for season 1 & 2. Season 3 was not as good imo, but still watchable.

He's British? I would have never guessed it. He does a great job of talking like you would imagine someone talking from the Civil War era.

And you gotta love Bill Maher, Allen! I can forgive the pomp when hes nailing the idiots regularly! :p
