We didn't have GI Joe. We had action man. He was pretty much the same but looked less 60's.
I had loads of Action Man's. I remember tying one by one arm to the garage door and the other arm to my dad's car. Waited hours for my dad to leave, but it was worth it when action man exploded in a shower of plastic.
Most toys suck really, when you look at it, but I always found ways to make use of them in an entertaining fashion.
