If it were actually a revolution, I'd be excited. My boyfriend has been anticipating the breakdown of civilised society and government as we know it ever since the riots in Greece.

This isn't it though. This isn't revolution and the people rising up against injustice, it's a bunch of petty thieves taking advantage of the confusion and crowds to get themselves a free TV.

I don't doubt that there are some people out there who are genuinely disillusioned with society and the system, but their message and intentions are getting lost among the chavs who aren't thinking any further ahead than 'great, now's my chance to get a new ipod'.

Not jealous of what they are doing, but of the actual spirit in maybe the original protesters.

No one in the US cares about anything much anymore.

What happened to the old days when there was a revolution ever so often?

The world grew up, or so I thought.

The whole saga is embarrassing.

Maybe they can get some hoodie to light the Olympic flame by chucking a petrol bomb at it too?

Do you even watch the news? This isn't people fighting against some evil government, it's chavvy little low life cunts stealing themself a new pair of trainers or a plasma screen. The only thing they care about is that.
