lmao! Nice pic Booze.

Steph, I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm going to college for journalism, and I'm a GREAT writer, but I don't know if I want to do it forever and sometimes I want to go the medical route. My mom says I HAVE to get a 4 year degree atleast, but I don't know what I want to do for a major anymore.

I have a min wage type job too, and I know I can't live off that forever, but all the jobs here require some sort of experience in the field. It sucks.

Intern at a radio station or TV station, Newspaper. How is your speaking voice? I know your pretty so that is not a problem when going in front of a camera but how is your charisma in front of people or cameras? Could you do live reporting or remote from lets say Iraq?
But really I think interning at different media companys would give you a broader out look on your journalism carreer. I worked as a Photo journalist with the Military and loved doing it.

That is a great idea for our little Rachel. That's what you ought to look into doing, Rach

I've done a few things with my college paper and worked on my high school paper for 3 years, eventually becoming the editor. I know I love it, but I'm not sure if it's something I see my whole life for.

I've thought about broadcasting and photoj as well too. My university doesn't have a journalism major, but will be instituting one come fall, so I'm transferring into that, then working to land an internship at the Cincinnati Enquirer... which is owned by Gannett and will be an amazing experience.

I may also take some medical classes so I can do some sort of medical writing. I love medicine, so I may try and go that route too.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE?

I remember my Pop saying that to me a few times after I had dropped out of school. I never took his advise much cause we fought and argued alot. I finally got so pissed off I joined the Navy to get away from his ranting.
I didn't start out as a Mil. Photographer though. I went thru Rescue swimmer school, and had a chance but rang the bell at the SEAL training command. and after my navy carreer I got into computer operating systems Programing and analyst. I want to try real estate now. finding houses that can be fixed up and resold or rented. So I kinda know how you feel about jobs and carreers. Not sure if its the right choice or not. what I did (except for the seal training thing) was to get profficient at somethng then look for something else that interest me. That way if your new endeavor dosen't quite measure up you can fall back to something that will keep bread on the table.
