I don't think Barry Sanders was over-rated :p
you did not watch every game he played :D

The guy was THE most exciting runner since Sayers

But if you needed to get a first down with one to two yards to go he failed time after time. He did not ever stick his head down to get the tough yards. It was always shuck and jive and dance around. Made for excitement but nobody would win with him;)

oh so we are going with favorite memories now eh dipstick :24:

Al Kaline - my all time fave
Roberto Clemente - one of the all time best
Mark Fydrich - a one year phenom who I got to see live several times that year
Tiger Stadium - screw the players - this place was a mecca
Charlie Gehringer

I grew up and lived across the street from Gehringer. Just put that there to brag. :D
The guy had an impressive career. Very worthy of the hall of fame
We had large yards and at the time the roads were pretty rural. Unfortunately even being a baseball nut I never got to sit down and talk to him. He was very much a loner. :(

Not bad, unsure about Matt over Fedor, but not bad

And as a massive Randy nuthugger I still unsure about him being top 5. Guy had too many loses

While Fedor is undoubtedly a better fighter than Hughes, I put Hughes above him for ruling over a stronger division and facing overall tougher competition, sure Fedor has Victories over Nog, Cro Cop, Sylvia and Arlovski, but mixed in there are the likes of Fujita, Hunt, Lindland, Choi, Zulu, ETC, for that I'll give the #1 spot to Hughes. and I know Randy has some questionable losses but he is still a multi time champ in two weight classes and almost always pulls off the upset, I suppose Wanderlei Silva could be in his spot although I think he was a bit overrated.

I blame pride for that crap, they made a lot of stupid match ups and had a lot of non-title fights. I do miss it though, especially the GPs. However, with Fedor's wins over Tim and AA, he's back to #1 IMO. I had him pretty low after so long of inactivity between Pride and affliction. The Lindland match up still bothers me though Mat did well.

don't forget Lindland is a Silver Medalist, but being a MW he is just not a legit fight for Fedor, and I think Fedor and Hughes are interchangeable, I only blame Fedor for his post PRIDE fights, Lindland and Choi, there were legitimate HW's outside of the UFC he could have went after, otherwise yeah it was bad PRIDE matchmaking, not that I don't love a good freakshow fight, though.
