So Neanderthal Man presumably walked 12.5 miles from home. You think he used a mobility scooter to get around? Those mobility scooters are pretty quick these days! ... probably not so much way back then though huh? Why is this significant?

Maybe they mean the tooth was more mobile and traveled 12.5 miles.
My grandpa use to walk 12.5 miles to school everyday...in the snow...uphill both ways
