when I was a kid that would not even be 2% of the leaves

We not only had our yard which was an acre with a dozen or more large oak and elm trees plus we had next door at the grandparents with the same.

It would take all the family the weekend and we would be dragging tarp after tarp all the way to the back woods

Thus my utter hatred of leaves

and all things known as yardwork

seeing those commercials for those people who have the insane yards (like I do not have the size of the yard they have, but have the three trees that do all the damage) and I say, yeah, I should get one of those vacuums for my yard....

Mother nature is my leaf blower up here on the hill. You gauge how hard the wind is blowing by how many leaves it swirls out of the woods and blows across the fields.

I always used a mulching kit on the mower for around the front of the house.

Funny thing, last year I let it slip and did nothing with the leaves (over 50 various trees with a bunch of leaves). Actually no big deal come next spring.

When I first moved here I did pick up a back pack blower for the leaves. I only use it to get some wood burning piles going good lol
