I'm getting off my butt and checking out Planet Fitness. I know I walk and I bought an exercise bike but I can't be sitting around like a bump on a log anymore.

I'm with you Dana, today's the day...I'm getting too lazy too. Get in there and I'll get off my arse as well, I'm going to do at least an hour of exercise today...you with me?

Yes... The worst part is I have trouble sticking to something. It happened with my aquatic aerobics. It got too cramped and I got bored with it so I stopped. I was walking then winter hit and motivation dwindled.

Good luck! I have no motivation at all for exercise, so I have much respect for anyone who does :)

What do you think of a class? Like zumba or something? I've heard a lot of people saying it's really fun and they stay motivated.

Good luck though, I know the feeling! I've been trying to motivate myself with my diet and it's hard.

A tip that has helped me many times is this...

If you don't feel like going to the gym, get dressed and go anyway. If, by the time you get there, you STILL don't want to be there...go home. Chances are, by the time you get dressed and get over there, you'll decide to go ahead and go. ;)

Good luck though, I know the feeling! I've been trying to motivate myself with my diet and it's hard.

I do DanceFit (which is like Zumba but has more hip-hop than latin, usually) and I love it. Seriously, I look forward to class every week. :D

I've heard good things about Planet Fitness.

My gym has TVs on the cardio equipment...pretty much the best thing ever. I have to force myself to get off and do strength training.

I'm going tomorrow to do two classes to learn areas of machines and how I should be working out.

Good job!!! I know for me, personally, I feel TONS better when I'm working out regularly. I had slacked off for a while and I started feeling like crap.

Try to make yourself stick with it for 6 weeks

If you do then your brains endorphins will have kicked in and you will be more apt to get addicted and want to continue.

You should notice a pretty good change in your body by that time also. Don't worry about your weight. You might gain at first. Has to do with muscle gain versus fat loss. Over time the muscle though burns more calories than fat so it catches up.

It's kinda funny, I jhust had the revelation to do it this morning, I woke up this morning at 6:30 after a night hangin with a friend and said today is the day.
