hmm. I'm never come across a job where facial hair was strictly forbidden... closest I know of is the military, which only allows mustaches. Needless to say, I'll never work at a place that prevents me from having a beard, since I don't really ever plan on getting rid of mine.
Not sure how it is in the US but here you need to be clean shaven if you work in security or law enforcement too.

I used to work at this place when I was 18. Making caulk, mirror tac, other building stuff and that was 1st on the dress code. Absolutely no facial hair. cause we had to wear masks, cause we worked with lots of chemicals.so the seal between the face was tight. Not sure why we couldnt have a mustache or a tiny bit of stuble but it is what it is.

I think i had peach fuzz at that time so i didnt mind haha

The school my son goes i think are been very stupid or something...... asking the kids to shave

they did ask my son not long ago .. he only had some bum fluff on top of the lip which you can not even call that was soo little...and few hair in the chin and you had to go so close to even see

I think asking them at that age for school for soo little hair is stupid
i can understand want them to be neat but they over do it
the hair style have to be neat also and not to be longer of the collar either

so they do start early not only for work..

Depends on the agency around here. Mine allows mustaches but no beards (except for undercover operations, of course).

If I remember correctly, the same goes for our firefighters. Something to do w/ the seal on their masks. They also can't wear contacts into a fire...they have to wear eyeglasses or nothing at all.

I would've said to shave, too. It'd be different if you had a full beard, like you said.

yeah they over do it ..
Not every school they don't. I would imagine its a private school, or a Catholic school

yes it is a Catholic school..and they are more strict then public schools but still public schools are bad too ..did you see on tv about the kid asking him to cut his hair..and if not will be taken out of that school?
and it was on public school that boy

Our public schools here make the kids shave. I remember guys being called out of class in high school, taken to the office, and given a razor and a can of shaving cream, LOL
