While I agree with you in spirit, I disagree with your methods.
Turning our back on success and prosperity is not the best way to move forward with the pollution problem. Science and technology are making huge strides because of the pressure of market forces.
It'll work. We don't need to live in huts until we figure out a way to be 100% green. The world is NOT in a state of imminent danger.
