so what views do you have or is this something unquestionable?

i am inclined to believe it is possible. not because i personally feel it is but because we as humans for so long thought so many things we're impossible that became reality and even a part of every day life.

nothing is impossible, just varying degrees of difficulty.

ah now your thinking along my lines, in my opinion it has something to do with speed of light etc etc etc but i do think it has been proven to work (not on the scale we see on telly) but in a small form but do not yet have the technology to see it through to how we think of time travel to work. if that makes sense

I think it's impossible. it's hard for me to explain....how can you go back in time? :willy_nilly:

moving faster than the speed of light. in theory anyway. the faster you go and the closer you get to the speed of light the more time slows down (i know, sounds counter intuitive doesnt it?). in theory this means if you can exceed the speed of light time may move backwards.

i know what you mean, im not sure about going back in time like you see on the telly but think like this.......

if you are standing still, you suddenly shot off at the speed of light in one direction around the world and back to the exact point you started......fast enough you would see yourself leave :) now that is a form of time travel by a millisecond as you would be seeing yourself leave juat as you arrive, so now times that by 20'000 times faster.....is it possible to do it so you go back far enough to see yourself have a conversation before you leave???

like i said i think it might be possible but we aint got the technology to actually go that fast enough to do that but this is just theory :)

even in Star Trek IV Spock didn't think it could be done, but he never went into the mathmatics about it, just suggested a slingshot around the sun...it just doesn't sound right.

I do think it is possible, won't happen in our life time though. I would like to see bits and pieces of the past and future, but I wouldn't want to stay there though

I don't believe in it. For example, you can't reverse someone being dead - by now they are probably rotting away, and you cannot revive someone from that, as disgusting as that sounds.
If time travel was used to take back something they did, I don't think they should even bother. Mistakes happen in life for a reason and you just have to learn from them and cope the best you can.
On the other hand, if you time travel to see an event in history or something, I suppose that would be cool.
