so, I am online trying to get tickets to a concert and I just remember those days of waiting in line or on the phone in *high hopes* of scoring tickets to a concert. So much easier it is now...my first concert was in 1987 and was on the phone and there was no "redial" button...and the wait to get through was like torture! to hear the representative on the other end was such a relief, comical to think of it these days with everything so automated....lol

I remember those days as well. My Mom wanted tickets to see Garth Brooks in concert, I waited in line for six hours for her. Ugh.

The only thing that kills me now about buying tickets to events, all the fucking service charges. OMG.

yup, just paid through the nose for the tickets (buddy's birthday/Christmas present) Couldn't get the tickets to see Springsteen, but instead Van Halen....

oh and btw: those tickets in 1987? $27.50

Ahhh, I remember the days of BEGGING my parents to let me go see New Kids on the Block. :24: I don't even remember who stood in line for us...I think it was my bestfriend's stepdad.

The service charges are fucking insane, no doubt. My beef w/ Ticketmaster, though, is that when I bought tickets to see the Summer Sanitarium tour several years back, they just handed out random seats instead of it being a first come, first serve type deal. I got my tickets several weeks earlier than my older brother and was LITERALLY on the very last row (3rd level of the Georgia Dome sucks balls, just FYI...I'll NEVER go to another concert there) while they were in the 2nd tier on like the 5th row. :wtf:
