I love thunderstorms, they make for some good sleeping weather but the one that just passed over here scared the living crap out of me.
Winds up to 60 mph, hail, rain was so heavy you couldnt even see. Im just glad its over now. We was under a tornado watch.

We get the same kind of storms up here, Amy. Somtimes, the thunder is so loud and rumbling, that the house literally shakes and things rattle. The lightning can be pretty impressive too. Not only strikes from cloud to ground, but from cloud to cloud also. Some of it is what I call spider-web-lightning...where it starts as one streak and then seems to spread out almost like freworks, in a spider web effect. The biggest hail I ever saw was about 3 inches across. There were a lot of smashed windshields that day.

only good if they scare you, it's only rained once in like 2.5 months around here , but i remember one years ago it was a great thunderstorm a bolt hit the tree next to the house and split it right down the middle, Chris was on the toilet and shit so fast it was like he lunched a rocket , and my wife came down the hall stuttering , it was like Flash Boom we still talk about that one from over 15 years ago.

I don't mind a good thunderstorm either Amy.

We have had some pretty fantastic lightening too - threads of lightening, purple/pink in colour and so powerful.

The thunder a very strong rumble lasting a good few seconds each time, in some storms.

The skies sometimes go like a green kinda colour at times too.

Haha! Is funny because I was shit scared of them as a kid! I've been through so much danger now that it dosen't bother me, there was more chance by far of killing myself with a lot of the shit I've done before! Now I just enjoy the ride!:rockon:

Some of the monsoon storms that we have here can be very bad I wrecked my car on the interstate one summer because of one. But I still love them.
