Three Killed in County Road 215 Crash

I just felt like being the one to post this, since it happened to somebody I know. And please, no comments about the crash being Katie's fault, she got hit by some jackass that ran a red light, so she's in no way at fault.

Now, I'm probably getting confused with this, but in the first video, does it say she was in the blue Avalanche, or that she was killed by it?

I heard about this and thought it said CR 210 for a few minutes, which is out where I live. The second video explains it better. She was in the Avalanche which ran the stop sign but wasn't driving. But in this article News4Jax.com - Local/Florida News - 3 Dead, 5 Injured In Clay County Crash , it said she was the only one in the Avalanche. So I don't really know which one it is.

My brother's girlfriend was kill nearly two years ago in an accident on 210 (which is why my mind jumped to there when I saw this). It was her fault, she was trying to pass and thought she had enough room. She didn't.

It's a shame to see so many people lives either ended or changed forever by one simple act. I can only hope that your friend and the others killed went quickly and with little pain.

Katie is the girl that goes to our school. I just figured she was in the truck because from what everybody at school was saying today, she was out of school yesterday(Except for 2nd period) to fix up her truck, and she was on the way to the race track to go race it.

Oh, we have our fair share here too. What was school like today? Every year in high school, we had some one die (from various causes) and the day after was always...odd, to say the least. People didn't seem to know what to do or what to say.

Well, we didn't know until just today. We talked about it on the bus, it was on the news on the radio of the bus, some of my friends, like Mandy and Kerry, they were in tears, I mean just bawling like their parents just died or something, I was pretty upset when I found out too. Very awkward and quite day in 4th period(Katie was in our 4th period).

A lot of us that knew Katie are going to her funeral, we don't know when that is just yet though. Nothing planned for the school until the principal finds out when the funeral is though. I might go, might not. It was weird enough in class around everybody, let alone being around them at a funeral home with her body.

Well, I offer my condolences to everyone (including you). I know it's not easy and it changes the way you look at life. What really gets me is that she and the little girl will never get to grow up. Too many lives cut short like this...

I'm ok right now, just a little upset. It's just pretty hard to believe that just 3 days ago we were talking in class, and now she's not here. I think it's kind of fucked up that one of the older men in the accident survives, but a 16 year old girl with her whole life ahead of her is killed.

:(

R.I.P.

I still think my brother's girlfriend is going to show up at our house one day and everything will be normal again. But I've learned no to dwell on her death but about her life. It hasn't been easy to do but it helped a lot.
