It just means you haven't met the right kind of girl for you yet. Like Guinness, good things come to those that wait.
I've spent so much time and effort chasing around after girls who gave me the run around. I then met my missus in the least likely place to meet girls at a time when I was so fucked off with that kind of stuff that I was actually quite rude to her at first.
