Breaking Down

The world that I walk in is just a dream.
The ridiculousness makes me scream!
Constant monotony, struggling, with benefit reassurances.
Just to sit between sick occurrences.

There's so much more going on inside my head,
More then numbers and money, he said she said.
It makes life trivial and fake,
Guess it's just one more step I have to take.

I pray to someone, cause I'll never know,
What the point is, how to grow my soul.
It leaves me alone, empty in it's wake,
I guess it's just one more day I have to fake.

Get me through this horrible nine to five,
Make something click, help me realize...
Maybe life can never be all it seems,
But seriously, is pain worth watching yourself bleed?

How do you cope? How do you not cry,
When everything around you has to fucking die.
Sit or stand, doesn't matter, as you stare.
Wishing for chemicals that help you bear.

So as I take my own stroll through the valley of death,
Through dark skies, so cold I can see my breath...
I fear no evil, yet my heart pounds as I take each step
Take me, carry me, there isn't much left.
