I think I'll just stay out of this one for now. Last thing I need is getting caught up in it all, last thing Vs need is all of this nonsense on here in the first place.

It's funny how many times I've said "i'm not doing that cause I don't want to get banned" after a moderator made a thread about something which was blatantly against the rules. But that's neither here nor there... not even at the north pole, even.


Lets stick to the topic of this thread - and the topic of this thread is stop going off topic. Yes, the site name is Offtopicz, but that doesn't mean that this is just one giant breeding ground of rambling bullshit. Threads with a purpose, (as an example here) like the "Members picture sticky" thread shouldn't have lots of rambling nonsense that has nothing to do with the pictures that are posted in it.

If you don't know the rules, go to the FAQ section down below and read them.

What V and the mods say here is fair and right. It's a tough job at times and time consuming.

Plus, as peter says, they don't get paid and it is in their own time, amongst all their other duties day to day that they all have.

Well V and Mods - I love it here and all my friends and appreciate what you have to do too. :)

It's really not that hard to click some buttons... sure they don't get paid, and yes it is time consuming... but thats what you get when you volunteer or accept the position.




While I agree that mods need to be listened to, I can name several situations where the mods just threaten people with their power and don't take the time to listen to anyone who isn't a moderator on the situation due to personal feelings and anger.

I'm not saying don't be emotional about this, but mods have no friends or enemies, and everyone else should be treated equally.

I have some other things to say, but I don't know how to word it so that it doesn't get misconstrued.

All I know is I love being on this site, but when there is a thread I can post in, or something I can say and I get told to shutup, I don't appreciate being squelched.

Might sound like a silly question but is it possible to add another field in the member's box (where the avatar and other details are) to include the title "Moderator" so that it would be clear to all including newer members as to who the moderators are?
