I'll admit to having had one of those.. "banned" accs but I had a damn good reason.. If anyone wants to know who i was I'd happily answer it in pm.

If that were the case, just find another IP address, log in, and then PM people and let them know what's going on.

Usually happens after a spat between a user and an admin. For the user, it's a handy way of avoiding the temptation to capitulate and come back. For the admin, it's a great way to shovel all of the responsibility onto the user.

I have been using discussion board for the past 13 years and I haven't heard of anyone to ban them. However, I have seen people wishing good bye and then leaving the board.
