as horrible and repugnant the thought of Phelps crew picketing the funerals is, to censor them would be wrong, make them stay back the normal distance imposed on them in other situations, monitor them closely so that the very moment they cross any lines, cuff em and take em away

I agree. Phelps would probably love for the government to ban him from picketing. He would finally have a legitimate gripe to complain about.
I agree on the free speech thing. I just looked back at CNN and didn't see it, but I'm sure I saw a blurb this morning on people making rather large Angel Wings in preparation of shielding the family from phelps & his ilk. Like the Patriot Guard Riders, people rally to shield the innocent from the hateful.

:thumbup That's the way to counter Phelps. Send the message that religion should be about love and not hate.
I disagree. Free speech should be taken away from people who just abuse it to promote hate. I am proud that my country refused entry to Phellps with his agenda to promote irrational hate.:thumbup
