The world cup's turned out like the second world war. The French surrender early, the Americans leave it late and we get left to fight the Germans.
I'm not too worried about the Germans. I think a lot was made of their thumping of Australia, but I watched that game, and the reality was that Australia were poorer than Germany were good. Against Serbia and Ghana the matches could have gone either way, the difference between those 3 teams were minimal.
People forget that while a second round tie against the Germans may seem bad for us, for them, it must be terrible.

This has been quite the World Cup... Italy doesn't advance, Spain might not advance, the United States wins their group. Spain, the number one ranked team in the world needs to beat Chile to avoid making a first round exit. Italy goes out in the first round for the first time since 1974.

The ball is one of the roundest and therefore lighest balls ever. With that it makes it really easy to curve when hit. It has looked obvious when players have hit it etc.
