I see France are waving the white flag yet again!:24::surrender

Looks like I missed all the chat about the England v USA match. Was pretty gutting really seeing it's a match we clearly would have won if Green hadn't fucked up his timing to make a howler that all keepers are going to make at one point or another. Oh well, it's still a point and we're still favorite to qualify, roll on tomorrow!

is green forgiven seeing as he is a west ham player

I believe the media and a lot of people are overreacting as usual. Seems they forgot the great save he made in the second half, the joys of being a goal keeper, people only remember their mistakes.

It wasn't that great a save, for me a great save is something that nobody can blame you for if it goes in.

If he'd let Altidore's shot in, that'd be an equally bad blunder, considering it was right at him and from a tight angle.

I disagree, it was from very close range and was a pure, fast reaction save, was probably the only shot the USA had, including the goal that looked on it's way in.

I think he's had to have had good reflexes to make the save. But the bigger issue is why he had to make it, and it's down to Carragher getting skinned by....well a Hull City player. And that would worry me. Especially when it came to the latter stages where Altidore could become a Robinho, or a Messi, or a Villa. Even more concerning would be what Carragher said, it was something like

"I had already been booked so didn't want to run the risk of a second yellow"

I might be thinking conspiracy too much but does that mean that had he not been on a yellow he would have pulled him down? Let's face it, Carragher isn't above doing that, it happened last season when he knew the players he was playing against were a lot faster. People talk about him having experience, I'd rather have pace thank you very much.
