i'm not sure if this is the right forum for this topic but I think it is.

does anyone else find it completely uncomfortable that this movie is coming out to basically mock the sitting president?

i mean this movie was not made years after the fires had cooled.

i am not a bushy fan AT ALL, as ya'll know ;)
and at first when i saw the trailers it made me giddy and i can't wait to see it.
now i just wonder how pathetic we are that this is coming out about the leader of the 'free world' and he's still got that job and he's a total mockery.

thoughts?
opinions?

Personally I think the "Most Powerful Man In The World" should be able to take a joke:nod:

And I don't see anything wrong with it, no more than the constant mockery of Palin on SNL, or GW on SNL and every other show that takes a swipe at him.

And how about a book about Obama coming out...and he's not the president...Yet

yeah i agree with that to an extent
but i think it's the parts about his life before he was president that make me the most nervous.
maybe nervous isn't a good word.
giddy? :24:

It's too soon. It's like watching a movie about a sports team getting to the ultimate match, and then ending the movie before the game ends. Apparently someone feels they'll get the best audience turnout before elections, not after, eh?

Are you a Republican? :D Do you respect the office, or the man, or are you required to respect both? Should we ban films like these? (just curious)

The man is an idiot or an evil doer (your choice) so don't ask people to respect him because of his title. Look at where we are today and reflect.

Ooops, it's not his fault, poor baby, it's all those nasty slimy Democrats who did this to us!! ;) Just keep in mind the White House flat out lied to the American Public. One of its many flaws. One of the many reasons to deride it. Another the end justifies the illegal means? And just wait, the local band of yokels will chime in about how important it is to get questionable intel. Our laws, geneva convention laws, and international laws have been broken. No problem, everyone does it. :smiley24:

I think it is gonna bomb.

I would never go to the theater to see this kind of content, just like I would not go see Inconvenient Truth (which I've not seen), nor F911 (which I rented). I don't expect it to be a big hit, but with current conditions, ya never know.
