The thread specifically for people that hate spiders

There's a pretty popular thread about spiders, so I decided to start this one specifically for aracnophobes. Share stories, fears, and please don't post pictures of spiders.
I'm so scared of spiders, I refuse to enter a bathroom without checking for them (related to an issue in my past).

Funny - that's how my fear of bathroom spiders started; I walked into the bathroom (I was like 7 years old) to get in the shower, and opened the curtain, and suddenly there was this HUGE BLACK spider in there. I couldn't go in there again for weeks. And to this day, I check every single bathroom I go into for spiders.
I think my fear is genetic - I hear it can be. My grandmother and father both have mild forms of it, but no one I've ever met has it to the degree I do.

If there is a spider in the shower it usually comes down right in front of me, it scares the kasheebas outta me! I also have a huge fear of wetas

*walks in wearing these* EEK!

I am allergic to spiders, which is why I hate them so badly.

I had a teeny weeny jumping spider

bite me on the calf several years ago .. by a weeks time my calf was so swollen and hard it felt like it was literally on fire (when I tried to put weight on it) .. never dawned on me that the spider caused it .. but it did.

When I finally went to the ER to see wtf was wrong with my leg, the DR told me that because it wasn't a poisonous spider that it of course had not rotted (like a brown recluse bite will) but instead the infection had spread under the skin because evidently I am just allergic to them.

He then popped the place where the infection was (which sprayed blood across the room and onto the opposing wall, because so much pressure was built up .. which is why my leg felt like it was on fire), drained the wound, and pumped me full of antibiotics and a steroid shot and told me I was lucky I wasnt being admitted for blood poisoning.

I lost a good bit of tissue where the wound was .. I still have a noticable dent in my calf where the wound was (after he drained it). My leg looked like a dog had took a chunk out of me about 3 days later .. where the wound had begun to finally look like a normal spider bite, since the DR punctured it and made it drain.

I fucking hate spiders.

I only hate spiders that are highly dangerous to humans. I don't mind the harmless ones.

There are no "Harmless" ones. They're all a bunch of evil spiders engaged in a gigantic web of conspiricy to get humanity and suck it dry. They all have something to contribute to the conspiricy, and they must be stopped. NOW!!!!! CALL TO ARMS! RAISE YOUR BATS, SPRAYS, AND FLYSWATTERS AND FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!!

Spiders, like them or not are very beneficial to us, especially those of us with flower beds and gardens.

HOWEVER, I have found no reason to have them in my house, when I find them, I either move them to the outdoors, where they belong, or in the event that my system of communication breaks down and we can no longer see eye to eyes on the up and coming change of venue.

I step on them.
