The very first royal mud-wrestling championship of the world was held in the cranberry bogs near the town of Bogmania, in the Corkless County nearest to County Cork. It was hoped that this would become the premier athletics event in the universe. Kings Balthazar O'Leprechaun, Melchior McCork and Gaspar O'Corked had graciously given the event their royal imprimatur. The Holy Leprechaunia Church had then declared that the competition was blessed by God. Not to be totally undone by the Papist idolaters, the Leprechaun Protestant Church had accepted a knighthood for the Archbishop of Cranberry in exchange for the Church of the Lost Bog being handed over to the Royal Order of the Druids, which itself would then build a stone circle for no apparent good reason near to the bogs.
