I'm not personally interested in life without dignity. When my brain shuts down (no jokes please), come say good-bye, because you have 3 days before my heart stops moving due to dehydration.

I hope I've had time to tell you all how much life has meant to me.

See you on the other side.

I am pro-ethanasia, pro-choice, and probably pro-capital punishment. Together, I can say I'm pro-death.

But seriously, if I have to have machines breathe for me, just pull the plug. Save the energy.

pro-euthanasia.

Let me get this straight, memento. If there is a good chance you'll pull out of a coma while you're in the hospital after a really bad accident, you'll want your family to just pull the plug on you and give up? Why?

I should have been more specific: if I become a vegetable and it doesn't seem like I'll be returning to a relatively productive life then I would be upset if people didn't let me die.

but now that you mention it, I wouldn't have any regrets if my family did pull the plug in that kind of situation. that's probably just me.

Well, this subject shows how critical it is to write a living will for what will happen to you in such an event.

I personally think the family of the person should decide what will be done if there is no living will on pulling the plug.

I am in favor of assisted suicide as well if the person wants to die.

I think a joint decision between the medical staff and closest next of kin must make the decision and only them.

How can a court decide how much pain or suffering a person is going through and tell them if they can live or not.

If someone is that ill and their quality of life is that crap then it's up to them to call it a day if that is how they feel.
