ffs I know what the point of a critique is.

I also know what the definition of " critique " is.

I also know why this thread was started.

I also know this is where it should be done unless someone specifically asks for it in their own thread.

I think it's a good idea in principle but perhaps if people do want critique or don't mind it, they could just mention it in the thread pictures they post.

For the record, I don't mind critique in any pictures I post unless I specifically say I don't want critique on a particular picture.
:homo:

I also don't mind if people point out flaws or tell me how I could have made a picture better. It's one reason why I post them (in addition to just wantig to show people cool stuff :D). It's similar to wanting feedback on the poems I post. If people just say "great poem/picture" I will never improve as a poet or photographer. That's not to say I want people to go around slamming my stuff. There are ways to constructively criticize. I know he didn't mean it as a criticism, but Guyzerr questioning my ISO settings has made me more conscious of it, and that's a good thing. There are people here who are better photographers than I and getting critiques is a good way for me to learn and to improve.

K, I'm done. I'm going back to bed now. :ninja

Lolz...:24: I like getting critiqued.....even if the person who is critiquing me isnt a proffessional photographer, they can sometimes see something thats missing, ect. I find i sometimes have tunnel vision and concentrate too much on one aspect of the photo. I would like to think that the critique I get makes me better especially that from teachers, ect and that its made me alot better since I started.

What do you guys think of this one?

I actually like it a lot. It's not very clear, but I think it kinda adds to the mysteriousness of it in a way. I would like to see it a little clearer just to see if it enhances it, but I'm thinking it wouldn't.

And I agree w/ Guyzerr...unless I post a picture in THIS thread, I don't want critiques. I don't post my photos for critiques...I post them to share w/ people something that I found beauty in. I don't want to hear that I should've gone at it from another angle or blah blah blah. I actually have mentioned it in the past, but I find it extremely rude to critique someone's photograph if they haven't ASKED for a critique.

Just as with my music, I don't write the stuff to be heard by nobody but myself. I write it FOR myself, and then give it to the public to see if they like it, because there's bound to be one person out there who has a better day because of something I wrote in a song, or because a rose is their favorite flower. I like hearing and seeing the reactions of my art that people generate. Call it criticism, call it judging, whatever, it's all a grain of salt, I'm not offended unless it was meant as an insult and nothing more.

I actually really like the colors on that one, Zirc...but I would like to see less of the black on the bottom.

I think if she panned up you would have more black at the top. Its probably pretty close to being balanced where it is. That being said I know jack about photography.
