I don't feel right critiquing your photos because you're a better photographer than I am. However, I think the gull is too far to one side in this photo. :ninja It's an interesting shot, though.
The rose is beautiful. :thumbup I like the picture but the flower itself is slightly out of focus. You also might want to try getting a little closer so the rose fills most of the frame or maybe change the angle of the shot. The plant on the ground behind it is a little distracting.Ahh shit, what the hell... here ya go. Grabbed this one from my parents' backyard. Thought it was pretty...

Actually this is a super artistic piece, I really like it. It's got an "astral door" kinda feel to it, while being kinda "comfortingly dismal" looking... like you're in your nice warm room, looking out the window at THIS. I like it.
if you want something critiqued post it here
I agree, but I think the plant is VERY distracting...it was the first thing I noticed. The rose is beautiful. :thumbup I like the picture but the flower itself is slightly out of focus. You don't like Barrel Head Cactus either?I agree, but I think the plant is VERY distracting...it was the first thing I noticed.
I think the thread was started due to a couple of conversations I had with Tuffy. It's always been my stand that one doesn't critique someones shot without the poster asking for it.I think it's a good idea in principle but perhaps if people do want critique or don't mind it, they could just mention it in the thread pictures they post.
For the record, I don't mind critique in any pictures I post unless I specifically say I don't want critique on a particular picture.
but knowing that you need to change things makes you a better photographer. it just highlights things that you can be aware of in future.
