As I enjoy history dramas, I'm really looking forward to going to see this when it comes out. It's about Anne Boleyn's sister, who Henry VIII was also shagging.

The Other Boleyn Girl - Official Site

Anyone else planning to go and see it or heard much about it? I thought it's the sort of thing Livvy would probably be going to see, I notice the site has an interview with that author she really likes on it.

This film came out on 7th March.

I mentioned this somewhere, but was ages ago now and can't remember where.

I didn't get chance to go and see it unfortunately, as no-one I know wanted or could go and see it and my son flatly refused.

I have the book though, but not had time to read much of it as yet.

Not well right now either, so it'll be a few more days before I can even attempt reading more of it yet.

I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD in a few months.

the book of the other boleyn girl is superb ,and historically correct ,so if its like the book great ,if not itll be shite ..apparently a key figure is missing (actually henry's daughter by mary who was at elizabeths court ...so im not too optomistic)whic is a bad start

I heard that too, so as you say - not a good start to miss out a vital detail and relevant.

Films often mess things up when making them after the books.

Many things with the films based on the Harry Potter books were like that too.

I suppose they get away with it, when they say 'Based on...', but such vital details as the above re TBG, are very relevant not to miss out.

Maybe I won't buy the dvd after all thinking about it - books are best.
