Official OTZ Movie Draft!

So, some other forum I'm on is doing this thing, so I thought it may be something fun to try over here. This will be a yearly thing, so once this year's draft is complete, we start an entirely new one next year around the same time.


The rules:

Members will pick a number at random to decide your placement in the draft. (1-36) It's first come first serve, so grab a number.

- Members begin picking films one at a time going in order of your number placement.

- Picks go up the list 1-36, and then back down the list 36-1. For example, if your placement number is 36 you get to pick two films in a row. If you are number 1, starting the second round you pick two films in a row also.

- Once a film is picked it cannot be picked again. No exceptions.

- Picking continues until all turns are done and everyone is left with a list of 10 films.

- You have 18 hours to pick your film.

-Once everybody has finished, I'll pick two people at random. Everyone votes for the winner for that round. Eventually it'll be down to two people.

When posting your pick, please use this format:

Film (Year) – Director

Do not edit your post!

We don't even have 36 regular posters. What happens if someone doesn't pick in 18 hours.

I dunno, you get e-slapped? Haha.

Ok, I'll try to explain. First, everyone picks a random number, 1-36. But ok, since we only have around...25 regular posters I'd estimate, let's go with that. Each member picks a number 1-25. That decides what order we're in. Whoever's first picks ONE movie, the next person does the same, and so on, until we get to 25. Then, we go back UP the list, 25-1, and this continues until everybody in the draft has 10 movies. You post the movie you pick in this thread. No film can be picked twice, no exceptions. After everybody has picked 10 films, the "battle" I guess you could say, begins.

Members get paired up with each other randomly and the entire OTZ population votes for which list they think is better. This will continue in tournament style.

Basically, it's a movie battle. Everybody picks 10 movies, and then we vote on two random people to see who has the better movie list.

Eh, probably a new thread. For example, I'll post a thread titled "dt3 VS Dodge_Sniper"

The members choose who has the better list of movies, and then that person will move on to the next round, "vshayes VS TheOriginalJames". So if you win the first round, and vshayes wins the second, eventually you'd go up against her for the better list. When it's all over, that's it. I guess the winner gets a title or something, and then it starts all over next year.

Feel free to ask anything else, I guess this may be confusing, it being the first time and all :D
