Just when I thought mankind couldn't sink any lower, somebody hits bedrock and then starts digging.

Apparently, Kosovars would take Serbs hostage, take them to their country and then kill them to HARVEST THEIR ORGANS which were then sold on the open market.

Apparently, one dead Serb is worth $45,000 on the open market.

Creepy part is that if I didn't have a spider on my computer with the keyword "Serbia" I'd have never heard of this. Amazing... :(

We are saturated with news stories these days. You cant really compare now to the 40's.

True. There are so many awful things happening that are being shown every day. It's not boring, but it doesn't make you go 'god that's shocking!' either. Harvesting organs doesn't surprise me even, because it's already public knowledge that selling organs is lucrative.

Granted, because I, and all of us, actually know a Serbian this probably upset me more than the Egypt thing because I can put a face to it.

But still, snatching people up specifically to piece them out like some car thief taking a BMW to a chop shop?

Don't be so shocked, there is a LOT going on in the world that most of us have no idea about and even if it comes on the news we tune it out. You only noticed this because you know I am from Serbia and it makes a difference if the news is of something that can affect a friend.

Yep, this has been going on for a while now, I am in the North of the country and this happens mostly in the South... but I know of similar incidents right in my Uni city too.

As for things in Egypt - similar thing is going on around here too, IJS.
