I'm allergic to morphine. Unlike my grandfather, who's reaction involved running around the hospital naked, I just break out into hives.

itching is a normal side effect of morphine, its not an allergy...the itching is because of the histimine in it.
But hives aren't. I was covered in them. But I can't remember if I was itching. I had come out of surgery less than an hour before then.
