On the first day of school when I was in the fifth grade, the teacher thought it was such a cute idea to have us students write a report about what the most embarrassing moment of our lives were.

This teacher obviously had no common sense. None of us even wanted to think about it, much less write a report about it and tell everyone! If I had written about what really was the most embarrassing experience of my life up to that point, I'm sure the other students would make fun of me about it for months.

Knowing this, I came up with some made-up story of how my best friend at the time told this other kid about how he believed in ghosts (we watched the movie 'Ghostbusters' a few to many times).

Kids commented, "That was your most embarrassing moment?" But it was better then letting everyone know what really was the most embarrassing moment of my entire life up to that point!

This was one of the topics on the state writing prompt a few years ago. And let me tell you...these prompts are not created by teachers. Perhaps she was just making you all practice for your yearly writing assessment. In general kids love talking about themselves so these topics are usually a big hit. Usually they just pick silly events that they can look back on and laugh about. I don't think anyone expects them to write on an emotionally traumatizing experience or anything.

*waits for you to explain how teachers are the filth of society*

To have anyone write a report about the most embarrassing moment is ridiculous. But at the age of 10 and 11? At that age, kids care about how they appear to the other kids a great deal.

This teacher thought it was so cute to have us write about this. Maybe she should've written about her most embarrassing moments since she thought it was such a great idea.

Sometimes I think you don't even read my posts. You are like a broken record. You keep saying the same thing over and over and over again.

I quite like sharing my embarassing stories, mainly cos I dont embarass easily and spend a lot of my time laughing at myself. I'm forever doing stupid things. Although cant think of any off the top of my head right now.
