I'm a makeup noob. Like, really. I bought these items because they were pretty. Except the Almay ones, they told me what to get.
I'm going to try them out and try to take before and after pictures.

Feel free to join in =] or just reviews. What have you tried? Was it crap or is it now a staple in your makeup bag? What is in your makeup bag?

I wore foundation once for Halloween. Good times.

And black nail varnish and black lip stick.

My favorite bit of make up is MACs studio fix. uhh-may-zing.

I don't wear makeup too much, but when my dad's wife took me into the store with her and the lady had me try it out, I had to buy it. I've got insomnia and sensitive skin, so i've always got dark circles and little sunburn freckles on my nose and stuff, and it covers it right up. It's incredibly light and it look natural. Most foundations you can kind of tell where it stops and your natural skin color takes over, but I haven't noticed that with this stuff.

I love this thread, yay. I also love the Maybelline eyeshadow quad you posted, I have it in some mocha nude shades and it's so nice.

I have the exact same Maybelline eyeshadow!

I went and got some CoverGirl stuff the other day- I hadn't bought makeup in far too long.

My new favorite mascara is the CG one with glitter. It's super super subtle, and probably not really even noticeable, but I know there's glitter there and that makes me happy. And it doesn't clump or flake.

The only make up I own is lip gloss.

Those look really nice though! Can't wait for the before and after shots. When can we expect them? :)

I love covergirl products, they've always been a regular in my make-up bag......Oh, and their simply ageless 'sculpting blush' is amazing. Try it.

Ps...for eyes, especially night time, I'd go with their smoky eye collection, it's easy to apply because it comes with actual directions....lol

I love makeup tutorials; I could watch them all day.
Pixiwoo, Makeupgeek, Panacea81...good stuff. I'm obsessed with perfect looking makeup, and Pixiwoo do the best job. Makeupgeek is cool because she lost a ton of weight around the same time I did and she's from MI too.

Just wish I could afford MAC and stuff, but I make it work :p

I really like The Falsies mascara by Maybelline, even though it's goopy:

I love this blush:

And this lipgloss:

I tried out the Almay liner and shadow and the lipstick earlier. Here are the shots.

Before.

Concealer and powder.

Then after..

And the close up.

It took me an hour but yeah lol. The eyeshadow wears really well. Half the day and it hasn't creased. And it makes it easy to do a smokey look. A few people said it makes my eyes pop. So win here =] Not sure if it's right for a day look, but definitely a night one.

Then the lipstick.. I love how it feels. Not goupy but not dried out. I'm just not sure on the color.

And the eyeliner... well, this is my first, so I have no idea lol.

I get serious dark circles too. I usually just switch concealers, because I haven't found that perfect one yet. So thanks for this tip=]

I do. Definitely worth a try IMO.

That shadow looks like something I'd wear too lol. I'll keep this in mind.

The Maybelline one seems to be popular lol. I'm looking forward to trying it tomorrow.

Today I just wore the Maybelline shadow and mascara. Didn't mess with the liner shade either, simply because eveyliner hates me and today wasn't a fussy kind of day.
Wow. Did I feel a million times better in it or what. This is my new everyday shadow =D And it applied like butter on toast. A few strokes and it was blended.

Who saw the shirt? I was entranced by her eyes. I think she can draw people in without ANY eye shadow or anything. Wow.
