What's interesting? Are you going to submit some useful content to the question? Or are you just going to continually make one word posts out of the RPW thread?

I don't remember the title of it offhand, but it was by a local author who published her books through this tiny little bookstore down the road from my house. I never met the author, but apparently she didn't live very far from me. It was a series of books, but they didn't necessarily have to be read in order. I don't think they were written in order either.

They were stories about the different little people who lived in the trees during the different seasons. In the winter they were tiny people who lived in the roots and could only walk on shadows. That was my favorite one, and I remember it vividly. It had a blue cover, and handdrawn illustrations of the people who vaguely resembled humanoid mice.

I have the books somewhere. There was my favorite with the blue cover, one with a yellow cover, and then a green one about the summer people. Too bad I can't remember the name. I must have read them a million times.

I know when I was around 7 or 8, I read Moby Dick, Treasure Island, some other "great literature" books; also, my Dad had a big book of Shakespeare that I would read aloud to my family for laughs and giggles...(as I tried to pronounce the words).

Enid Blyton wrote a lot of books about the Secret Seven but it was the Famous Five that really grabbed me. I have no idea how many she wrote (Wikipedia says there were 21) but they were really good adventure yarns & I probably read them all.

"Where the Red Fern Grows" comes to mind. Not sure it was the first, but it was when I was a kid. Also "the Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton.

Mine would be Of Mice and Men Freshman year. That fueled my love for reading. Can't explain why exactly, but I think it was the first book I was ever called on to analyze.

Mine was Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. My older brother suggested it to me. I read the cover off that book. *nodz*

I loved S.E. Hinton, I have read the Outsiders so many times when I was growing up.. I still know that book by heart.

one Of thee First books I really remember reading was " I love you Stupid" It was a good book, hooked me on the Wildfire Series books,

Stranger with my Face is another one that always sticks out in my mind.
