Mine's Ortho Tri-Cylen. It's supposed to be the generic, but last year or so my pharmacy started giving me the brand name but still charging me generic price. I figured it was a flook the first month but they never stopped, and I take what they give me lol.

I go through a few stages during mine. I turn into a bitchy, swollen-boobed cry-baby. And I NEVER had cramps until after I had my son. The only constant during my period is being, uh, in the mood, all week. Which is totally moot cause you can't do too much about that. And I know I'm not the only woman who gets this way. :ninja:ninja:ninja

I've read that having sex during your T.O.M. can actually stop your cycle mid-week or something like that. Never given it a try though. I'd feel too gross to let him touch me, as bad as I want it :24:

I've heard that sex can reduce cramping (although I have a feeling its one of those old myths).
But yes, I am with you on the gross part.

I've always found sex actually brought my period on when I wasn't on BC. I was semi-regular but never really knew which day it would turn up on.... if I knew I was due and had sex, I'd come on the next day.

It does help cramping! I don't know about stopping your cycle, but it might seem like it does because, oh this is so gross, but because it's getting stuff out faster than just letting it come out on its own. And if you do it in the shower then there's really not as much gross factor.
