That might just happen... I am not very graceful at the best of times... add booze... all bets are off :ninjaEnough to fall down lots?![]()

Speaking of alcohol...they passed a by-law a few years back prohibiting the sale of alcohol on Sundays. :24: I guess that means Morden gets more business on Sundays.I worked in Winkler back in the 70's. I was involved with putting in the sewer and water lines to a new subdivision south of the motel and even souther from the cement plant.I hated that town. At the time it still had one of the few remaining " mens only " bars. Um... are women allowed to drink there yet?

You have to be kidding me? You must be quite young? Um... you also never answered my question which was " do you Plout " ? Zirc... splain it to her if you have to ok.Winkler's been dry for as long as I can remember...no one's supposed to drink there :thumbdown
He's off tonight but turned sober me down so far... :willy_nilly:Is the old fart working cuz if he is I have a special trea ... skip it.![]()
So is it a dry town or not? Most Menno's drive to the next town anaways :24: ( note pronunciation ) when they want to drink so their neighbors don't see 'em. I could never figure that one out because they recognize most of the folks whereever they drink. It's like a family reunion. :24:Speaking of alcohol...they passed a by-law a few years back prohibiting the sale of alcohol on Sundays. :24: I guess that means Morden gets more business on Sundays.![]()
Get shit faced and slap him upside his head. He'll come around. He's off tonight but turned sober me down so far... :willy_nilly:
To Plout is to be able to speak low German. My mother is a Menno and my father a Metis but I know enough Plout to make me dangerous.I don't know if I plout...what is it?! Will I like it?!![]()
I think they sell alcohol there...except on Sundays. But you know, now I'm not sure. I tend to avoid Winkler. So is it a dry town or not? I Googled and The Heartland Inn in Winkler has a lounge and they sell booze and everything. What a modern little town. I heard they have a red light on the main drag now but not having been there in ions I haven't verified that. If Manitoba was to get an enema Winkler would be the spot.I always thought it was dry, anyone I've known who's had to work there has stayed in Morden, to have a life![]()
All the better. :thumbupNope, I don't plout, I'm a Belgian/Irish girl...I just drink and fight :clap

As long as Del Rios survives. I love that restaurant. It's the only reason I ever go to Winkler. That and to visit a friend who unfortunately lives there. :ninjaI Googled and The Heartland Inn in Winkler has a lounge and they sell booze and everything. What a modern little town.
