text messaging

I hate it when people text message me and not tell me who they are...I do not have text as part of my cellphone plan and someone texts me asking for something and did not tell me who they are...

So just ignore 'em or do an illegal number search. You know the legal ones don't have cell phone numbers yet... hehe

Or here's an idea...txt 'em back and find out who it is!

like I said, I do not have Text messaging on my phone plan so i cannot text them back and there was no number to search off of

There's ALWAYS a number...unless they did the text from Yahoo...

no there is not always a number...I have Nextel an when you do not have the Text messaging as part of your plan it does not show a number it originated from

I have Nextel through work and I know it doesn't include text messaging. But when I get a text, it always shows the nuber....

well if its a problem just call your provider and i'm sure they can tell you where the number came from :dunno

I can't do that because it is a work phone, he may have the same problem. No access to the account.

No its my Personal phone and its ok...I found a easier way....I just hacked my phone and found out who it was...its all good

Well...I hooked my phone up to this computer via data cable and backtracked the text message thru the Nextel's computer system and found the tracking number issued to the message and used that to gain the originators cellphone frequency number and did a database search on the specific frequency and bam got the number... Any questions class?

What are the specs on your plan? my incoming texts are free, but sending them is 10 cents per text.

Text messaging for me is 10 cent a message, and since I do not have it as part of my calling plan I can not reply
