In our country, there is no term limit for president, prime minister or ministers. If they continue to win elections and confidence vote, they can remain in the office for unlimited times. For example, we have a person who has become prime minister 5 times. Some people are continue to be in the parliament for 30 years. Now, they are talking about limiting terms for public office. Do you think there should be term limit not only on how many times someone can become a president or prime minister but also a member of parliament.

Term limits for presidents make sense because executive power is concentrated. For members of parliament, it’s more complex. Limits could bring fresh ideas but also remove experience. Strong elections and voter accountability may be better solutions unless incumbency advantages become too powerful to challenge.

Don't you think parliamentarians should also leave room for new people to bring in new ideas for the changed time?

Here in the united states, the people of the supreme court don't have terms. The president does, they can only be in office for a max of 8 years. They are in office for four during their first term and if they get elected again they are in office for another four years. I really think there should be term limits for the supreme court here in the US. I believe this is actually one of the few things that both Democrats and Republicans actually agree on too.

Term limits set a maximum number of terms an official can serve. They can reduce long-term power concentration and encourage fresh perspectives, but may also limit experience and continuity. The impact really depends on how they’re designed and enforced.
