32 inch LCD HD widescreen in tv room. 40 inch LCD HD widecreen in video game room.

Can't understand why anyone would want a plasma screen....unless you have it in a room with no windows and such.

Mine's a 26" tube. I had a 13" but sold it. My TV won't fit on my new entertainment center, so we're looking for a replacement. I spent about $200 on mine, but to get a 26" flat screen... it's ridiculous. So Matt's looking for a smaller one. :( I'd rather wait and use my current ghetto-rig.

I finally caved and let the hubbub get the tv of his dreams last night; a 63 inch Samsung plasma for the living room. It is ridiculous. Now if only we had a bigger living room to put it in...

I will never understand his obsession with tv's and speakers. He will never understand my obsession with purses. *sigh*

Growing up I remember us having a 32 inch so it was good sized back then. When I moved out I bought a 27 inch tv for my livingroom ( so when I was 17 lol it's old now) that has now been put into my kids room. I have a 38 inch 1080p LCD tv in my livingroom. I went by the rule that you don't need any bigger if you are less than 8 feet from the screen so it's perfect for my livingroom. In my bedroom I just have a dinky little tv I think maybe a 13 inch. And then my laptop, which is used more to watch movies in my room than the actual tv, it's a 17 inch wide screen.

We got a big plasma in the living room, a smaller ones in the wreck room for kids, and just got a tiny one for our room, but I'll have to get Bryan to post the sizes, I've no clue.

I've got a 60" projection Mitsubishi that is about 6 years old. Even though it does not show the highest 1080p HiDef, it shows 480(?) and still looks great. In the bedroom, we have a 32" flat screen. One thing about a 60", you need to have at least 10' to sit away from it or it will do things to your eyes.

BTW, is anyone here sold on Blue Ray, as in it is SO far superior to DVD? I've been resisting a BR player until disk prices come down. In the mean time we have an up-scaling DVD player which looks pretty darn good.

I have a Blue Ray hooked up to my 50" high def plasma tv and think it's a lot better than when I had a up-scaling DVD player hooked up to my 50" LCD. It's the high def tv that makes it imo.
