I went to telemiracle this weekend and we raised 3.6 million!!!

Telemiracle is a foundation for people in need. if you need something medical you can apply to the foundation and get funding. They fund everything from scooters to living expenses if you have to stay away from home while you are getting medical help.

it was so much fun!!!

for those in england. is there not something similar to this? my friend julie and her husband john with their two kids just moved to canada 2 years ago. they were from england and they said that there was something like this out there but they raise a lot more money

Well we have a national health service so not really as much need for that. There are other things like Motorbility though that provide cars, scooters and wheelchairs for disabled people, don't know if that's what you mean?

we call em telethons here in the USA. probably the most famous one is The Jerry Lewis Telethon For Muscular Distrophy. he does pretty damn good every year....

Oh...I think I know what you're getting at now! Like a big tele marathon which goes on for hours to raise a load of money? Yeah, we have children in need and red nose day (Comic relief)
