I guess death is easy. Living is hard...
Did she actually commit suicide on the internet, or just like everyone else in the world, was able to obtain information on suicide via the internet?
I know I'm side-barring here, but are we now going to blame the internet for "making" this girl commit suicide much like a lot of the metal bands were blamed for making teens commit murder and what-not?
:homo:
What kind of an idiot would she have had to have been?
touchéA depressed idiot seeking emotional support?
Hi Ron.
I got side-tracked in middle of my post above, so hadn't realized you had posted.
Well, I'm not suggesting the internet is to blame at all. I am just relaying something that touched me and choked me, that I found very upsetting, that was all.
I had to mention the internet, because that's where she did her talking etc, as her mother said.
As I also said, I just wanted to let other parents here, know about this tragic happening too, being a parent myself, just for info really. I always ask other parents to let me know of tragic circumstances that happen to children if they hear about things, because how else are we to know what kind of things are there that can affect our children?
My son is my world and without him, I would be empty.
No worries...
Can you send me the link for this article? I've heard this story before, but it's used over and over several times...the age/sex/location of the teenager has changed a few times as well.

Shes made her parents go through hell? and why because someone she never even knew online gave her details on how to commit suicide? She should have talked it out with her parents instead of hiding it from them. I'm sorry cruel or not, I find no pity when a person ends their own life because they can't seem to handle it. I've never experienced "dpression" but I'd like to think I'd be of sound mind and have enough confidence to know how to handle the situation.
Sorry if I sound cruel![]()
dude yes it is cruel, I know from experience that it is the most loneliest feeling in the world, you end up thinking that people really don't care/want to care about your problems, and in the end you stop caring, and if you don't care, why should other people, it's a downward spiral really, no rational thought goes into it whatsoever, you really think that friends family would be better ofwith you dead, that the person in particular may have thought they wre better off dead, it's rationally irational thought
If you haven't experience depression, known anyone who has, OR studied the sickness, it's much harder to grasp that these people are SICK beyond what anyone can imagine. They live in a deep, dark, sad world. There is no quick way to "make them realize" how they are and it's certainly not a "swift kick in the pants."
Also, trying to get into a teen's head is like trying to hack the security of the Pentagon's secrets.
im sorry but i kinda have to agree with dana on this one. it is sad and tragic that she commited suicide and put her parents thru hell and i don't believe that she is an idiot for doing it, but on the same hand, would you commit suicide just because someone told you how to do it? i live with depression too and the thought of suicide has crossed my mind but i am stronger and believe that things will get better. im not going to end my life because someone tells me too. i would have died a long time ago

:homo: with Dave's comment to Dana that his comment is cruel....and insensitive.
