Fuck taxes.. Although when we did them ourselves in Turbo Tax we owed like 1200, we took them to an accountant and she had us only owing 250.. I'll take that.

Well, you meant "our" return, but yeah Matt makes more money than me, then your job on top of that, and you two filed jointly. That's a big derrr on that one.

Something about my dad's retirement pay is messing my parents up and they've wound up owing $6000 this year and last year. Each. It sucks.

my brother graduates this year as an accountant, he is getting his CPA and also continuing on to get his masters, so im going to make him do mine for free next year. I already paid him for years by letting him beat me up. lol.

Unless you're self employed, that all gets sorted out over here by your employer without you having to do anything.
I wish they'd just take what they want and leave it at that .. I get sick of having to do this shit.
I changed my deductions a couple of times last year so I wouldn't get ganked on taxes when I had a ton of overtime. Well, one time I forgot to change it back for a month or two...my federal refund was a whopping $24 this year. I owe the state $91.

says ill get it back on april 25. thats 12 days from my filing date. not awful considering they have got to be swamped right now.
